Socio-Legal Training Workshop held at Haora, West Bengal
West Bengal: A first level Socio-Legal training workshop held at Haora by West Bengal Chapter of Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR). Fifty five selected volunteers from Kolkata, North 24 Paragnas, South 24 Paraganas, Hooghly, Barddhman, Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, Murshidabad districts participated in the training workshop. Akhlaq Ahmad (National Coordinator APCR), Adv. Khurshid Alam , Abdus Samad (Convener APCR West Bengal), Masihurrahman (Member General Body APCR & Editor Meezan Weekly) delivered their lectures on “Establishment of Justice in India-Present Scenario”, “Understanding Criminal Justice “System in India”, “Drafting, Filing & Persuasion of an RTI Application”, “Human right situation in West Bengal and our role” respectively.
A significant panel discussion on working & expansion of APCR in west Bengal was discoursed during the workshop. Training Workshop concluded with the Question & Answer session facilitated by West Bengal Convener of the organization.
